Deep Dive: Creating a Safety Rhythm
This isn't about perfection — it's about creating a rhythm that lets your gut and nervous system feel safe enough to heal.
1. Before Meals (The Prime) — About 10–15 minutes before eating: drink ginger tea or chew fresh ginger, take a digestive enzyme, use a bitters tincture, or mix 1 tsp raw apple cider vinegar in water. (If vinegar burns, use bitters instead.)
2. During Meals (The Nourishment) — Focus on whole, unprocessed foods. Avoid foods you know are inflammatory for you. The goal is nourishment, not restriction.
3. After Meals (The Awareness) — Write in your tracker: Do I feel energized or heavy? Calm or irritated? Any rashes, bloating, fatigue, or mood shifts?
4. The Snacking Rule — Try not to snack. Your gut heals best with rest between meals (the Migrating Motor Complex). If you must, 1–2 times per day, only when truly hungry.
5. Evening Rituals — Epsom salt bath 3x/week for relaxation and magnesium absorption. Daily probiotic or fermented foods. Evening rituals signal safety to the nervous system, which is essential for gut healing.
